The Rules of making new ascents in Labské údolí - the left and the right bank
In order to gain more information on making new ascents in this area, we recommend to contact some local climbers or local new-ascent makers.
It is strictly forbidden to create new routes from the top, curve in the rock or modify the surface of the rock in any other way. It is also forbidden to use improper permanent protection points such as home made rings, scaffold anchors and such.

1. All new routes must be created from the ground up.
2. To set up a new belay point, sky hooks, rivets and drill-in anchors can be used.
3. A permanent belay point is a sand stone ring or a sand stone bolt.
4. All routes on massifs are to be finished below the top of the massif in order to protect the local bioflora.
5. Rappel anchors must be set up in such a manner, so that abseiling will not mechanically hurt the rock.
6. If the route cannot be protected with slings, we recommend to set up the permanent protection points in such a manner which will avoid serious harm to a climber during his fall.
7. A permanent protection points must be set up within 30 cm from the drill-in anchor used during new ascent so that the protection point can be clipped easily.
